Position: Trainee Buyer
Location: Role to be primarily based at our Boundary Park Site in Deeside, with some travel between our 5 North Wales sites as required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Trainee Buyer you’ll have an opportunity to join a dynamic team of Buyers covering a range of Commodities including but not limited to Wheel and Tyre Assemblies, Metals, Running Gear, Suspension, Plywood and Hardware to drive procurement excellence.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
· Supporting the development and management of the companies Supplier portfolio of raw materials with the support of Buyer and Head of Procurement.
· Liaising with relevant colleagues across the Business in relation to current and new Suppliers, technical problems and general queries
· Contribute to the Department improvement, protect and enhance the Company reputation, by putting new ideas forward and driving positive change.
· Sourcing of competitive material prices, quantities and lead-times: combining and analysing returned quotations.
· Analysing markets to make recommendation of change to reduce cost while maintaining standards of quality.
· Monitoring current vs historical spend.
· Ensuring the quality of the materials are in and maintained in required standards.
· Ensuring the continuous supply of materials, communicating any supply chain problems which pose risk or impact to business operations while taking a proactive approach to resolve.
· Identifying and resolving challenges with Purchase Orders and Goods Inwards issues.
· Ensuring invoice queries are dealt with effectively and in collaborative manner with Purchase Ledger.
