Description

“Shaw Trust promotes team spirit, inclusiveness and it is an organisation where everybody is somebody. I am proud to be part of this great organisation.”
At Shaw Trust we believe everyone has the right to live a decent and dignified life and an opportunity for rewarding work. We are a social purpose organisation challenging inequality and breaking down barriers to enable social mobility.
For us being part of the solution is about creating the conditions for this to happen, advocating and delivering services that make a real difference. Working in partnership not competition, we are part of an eco-system of purpose-led organisations, striving for a fairer, more equal society centred on opportunity for all.
Purpose
Working with a range of young people as directed by a Team Manager, you will be responsible for delivering Information, Advice and Guidance, work related learning and enterprise activities in community and school setting to ensure young people remain in and progress into employment, education or training opportunities.
This role will focus on young people who are in educational transition, NEET or vulnerable to NEET due to particular needs.
To deliver the role you will provide 1:1 impartial information, advice, guidance and ongoing case load support to ensure young people remain in or progress into employment, education or training. You will undertake small/large group work activities including presentations and engage employer’s programmes for young people in education to help young people move into employment or contribute career educational programmes.
