About Us
Avondale Catering Supplies is a family-run business specialising in the supply and installation of commercial catering equipment across the UK. We’re a small, hands-on team that delivers kitchens for restaurants, cafes, schools and more.
The Role
We’re looking for a motivated school leaver (18+) to join us as a Trainee Installer. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to install catering equipment and full commercial kitchens. This is a physical, varied role where you’ll learn new skills and gain real industry experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting with the delivery, installation and commissioning of catering equipment.
  • Helping set up full commercial kitchens on customer sites.
  • Learning basic plumbing and safe electrical connection of appliances.
  • Supporting the team with lifting, carrying, and site preparation.
  • Maintaining a tidy van, tools and workspace.
  • Working overtime when required (this is a standard part of the role).
  • Occasionally working away from home on multi-day jobs.

What We’re Looking For

  • School leaver or someone early in their career (must be 18 or over).
  • Reliable, hard-working and willing to get stuck in.
  • Physically fit (lots of lifting and carrying).
  • Able to travel to Ashton, Bristol at any time of day (early mornings, late returns).
  • Willing to opt out of the 48-hour working week limit (mandatory for this role).
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Good communication and punctuality.

What We Offer

  • Pay: £10.00 to £12.21 per hour
  • Regular overtime (not optional).

  • Location: Ashton, Bristol (with travel to customer sites across the UK; overnight stays may be required).
  • Contract: Full-time, permanent.
  • Hours: Standard working week + mandatory overtime as required.
