Corryong Health (CH) is a public sector agency and one of six multi-purpose services in Victoria. CH is funded by Commonwealth and Victorian State Government funding, and provides a broad range of hospital, residential aged care, medical and primary health and community support services. We provide services to the Corryong community and operate a Medical Clinic, Health and Fitness Centre and Retirement Village.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Learn how to report to the Hospitality Manager about kitchen operations and supplies.
  • Assist in making sure the kitchen runs smoothly, and meals are served on time.
  • Take part in menu planning and discussions.
  • Learn and follow food safety rules and regulations.
  • Help prepare meals that meet the nutritional needs of residents and clients.
  • Follow safe work practices and ask questions when unsure.
  • Help keep kitchen tools and equipment clean and in good condition.
  • Assist with checking, unpacking, and storing food supplies properly.
  • Help keep the kitchen and storage areas clean and safe.
  • Work as part of the team, and communicate well with cooks, care staff, and the dietitian.
  • Learn what to do if food needs to be recalled for safety reasons.
  • Respect people’s privacy and follow confidentiality rules.
  • Learn about different diets and how to follow recipes correctly.
  • Practice good hygiene and help prevent the spread of germs.
  • Help fill out food safety checklists and records.
  • Be open to feedback and support in handling any concerns or complaints.
