Description

Looking to break into accounting and finance? If you’ve got great people skills, enjoy solving problems, and want to move into a finance-focused role, this could be your perfect next step.
A thriving, employee-first manufacturing business in Petersfield is looking for someone with customer service, sales or retention experience to join their friendly credit control team. You’ll be supported every step of the way, learning the ropes of finance while building relationships with customers and helping to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
You don’t need to be a finance expert – if you’re confident talking to customers, naturally organised and ready to learn, you’ll fit right in.

Reporting to the Accounts Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Speaking with customers via phone, email and letter to resolve queries and encourage timely payments of debts
  • Responding to emails and helping out with any questions about orders and invoices
  • Working collaboratively within a team of 3 credit controllers
  • Raising credit notes, allocating cash to correct accounts
  • Negotiating and agreeing payment plans for collections
  • Putting accounts on hold if payments aren’t met
  • Learning to carry out credit checks on customers
  • Playing your part in keeping customers happy and the business on track
