JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant qualifications in dental nursing or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding towards patients’ needs.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in IT systems for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience as a nurse or within a healthcare role is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring that patients are comfortable and informed throughout their treatment.
  • Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment before and after procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and treatment plans using practice management software.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain treatment options, answer questions, and provide post-treatment care instructions.
  • Support the administrative team with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the clinic.
  • Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all materials are readily available for use during procedures.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in dental nursing.
