We are a small private general dental practice with a focus on reducing our environmental impact. Due to one of the team leaving to train as a Dental Therapist we are looking for a trainee dental nurse.
The majority of time will be spent providing for general dentistry, hygiene and therapy. There will also be a chance to gain experience on our paediatric sedation, denture and implant clinics.
We are looking for someone who is kind and caring, well organised with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. It is crucial you are confident communicating with the team and patients and prepared to be proactive and willing to contribute to the development of our small private dental surgery. This role would be of particular value if you have an interest in looking at ways we can reduce our environmental impact in dentistry.
Initially the role is 32-40 hours a week, but with potential to change in the future, which could include evenings and weekends. Pay dependent on experience.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting the dentist and hygienist to provide patient care in surgery. Reception and administrative duties.
Sterilisation of instruments and cleaning in clinical areas in line with practice policy.
Preparation of surgery and instruments for treatments.
Supporting compliance and administrative tasks.
Following practice policies and supporting team members to do the same.
Use of practice management software
