Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Trainee Dental Nurse, you will play a key role in ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care. Working closely with dentists and the wider dental team, you will assist in providing safe, effective, and professional dental treatment. You will also work towards achieving a recognised dental nursing qualification.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist dentists and hygienists during a wide range of dental procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain the clinical environment, including equipment and instruments in a clean, tidy, and sterile condition according to health and safety and infection control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with cross-infection control and health & safety protocols.
  • Support patients before, during, and after treatment to ensure comfort and reassurance.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and support administrative tasks as required.
  • Undertake training and coursework required for dental nurse qualification.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Attend practice meetings, contribute positively, and share ideas constructively with the team.
  • Support other team members and willingly accept additional workload when required.
  • Demonstrate initiative in developing personal skills and responding positively to development opportunities.
