JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Trainee Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the estimation process, ensuring accurate cost assessments for projects. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control and the ability to analyse various factors that influence project expenses. The Estimator will collaborate closely with company directors, managers, suppliers, and clients to provide comprehensive estimates that align with project goals.

Full training will be provided and continuous salary review depending on progression. Upon completion of successful training responsibilities include -

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine project requirements.
  • Collaborate with our team, designers, subcontractors and clients.
  • Conduct sales calls to follow up quotations
  • Attend pre and post- tender interviews and site visits if required
  • Maintain organised records of all estimates, revisions, and correspondence related to cost assessments.
  • Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and presenting estimates to clients.
  • Assist in post-project evaluations to improve future estimation processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • An individual who is keen in working within a dynamic construction and manufacturing industry.
  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Some experience using CAD would be beneficial
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
