JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking Trainee Engineers to support nationwide fibre installation projects across residential and commercial sites. This long-term contract offers consistent work and excellent earning potential. You will be responsible for full lifecycle fibre deployment including splicing, testing, installations, and customer handovers.
Key Responsibilities

Install and test fibre optic cables, including both internal and external premises installs

  • Perform underground and overhead cabling (duct and pole-based routes)
  • Conduct on-site surveys and assess UG/OOH routes
  • Read and interpret fibre plans/schematics (Openreach/CityFibre)
  • Complete accurate documentation and test records
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety (including PPE, lighting and guarding)
  • Communicate professionally with clients, landlords, and site contacts
  • Troubleshoot faults and carry out connectivity repairs
  • Maintain vehicle stock and tools to company standards
  • Must be confident working at height
