What you'll be doing You will immediately enter a role with real responsibility, business partnering critical areas, analyzing financial data of the Chalhoub Group business. The Finance trainee is responsible for supporting the brand's Finance division with accurate and timely commercial financial analysis, including provision of monthly management accounts. Support the preparation of management monthly pack, including provision of monthly P&Ls Support with variance analysis on monthly results (variances vs PY and Budget) and liaise with stakeholders to: Use financially based analysis as a tool to identify risk and opportunity within the business Support budgeting and forecasting cycles Build and manage a comprehensive KPI’s model (Financial & Business) in line with Company’s objectives and captures all relevant info needed to manage the business Track CAPEX movement, Fixed Asset Register & support in communicating the monthly committed CAPEX. Support Senior Finance Business Partner with ad-hoc reporting requirements or projects. obtain reasons for variances. ensure correction entries are posted if errors are identified; etc. What you’ll need to succeed Degree in finance or related studies Previous experience in retail and distribution environment will be a plus Enthusiastic, proactive problem solver and self-starter Knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint and other IT packages Excellent communication skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment Detail orientated, well organized, focused, able to readily adapt and lead in a changing environment.
