Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a dedicated Trainee Financial Planner to join our Fareham team, supporting one of our most experienced and high-performing Associate Directors. This is a rare opportunity to work directly with a senior adviser who has built strong, long-standing relationships with a high-net-worth client base – the perfect environment to learn and grow.
You’ll be immersed in a true financial planning culture, with structured support to progress your career – whether you’re a highly technical paraplanner ready to move into advice, or someone already advising who wants to accelerate their development under expert mentorship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Support the Associate Director in delivering high-quality, independent financial planning to a portfolio of high-net-worth clients
  • Attend client meetings and contribute to the fact-finding, note-taking, and follow-up process, developing your confidence and understanding
  • Prepare financial planning reports, cashflow models, investment reviews, and technical research under supervision
  • Build trusted relationships with clients through regular communication and excellent service
  • Coordinate with paraplanners, administrators, and wider team members to ensure seamless client experiences
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure all compliance requirements are met
  • Proactively engage with your personal development plan, working towards Chartered Financial Planner status and eventual CAS sign-off
  • Contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities for referrals, additional services, and deeper client relationships
