Mendip Fireplaces Bath is a long-established fireplace, wood burner, gas fire, flue and chimney specialist providing a complete, professional service to our customers.

SUMMARY

We are looking for a trainee fireplace and stove fitter/labourer to become a permanent member of our installation team.

Requirements

• Punctual, hardworking and reliable with good attention to detail
• Ability to work at heights
• Have physical stamina and deal with heavy manual handling
• Proficiency in working with hand and power tools an advantage
• Clean driving licence and preferably own vehicle due to location of offices
• Previous experience in a construction environment would be an advantage
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills

• Assist experienced fitters with the delivery, preparation and installation of fireplaces, wood burners, and flues.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers
• Help with loading and unloading tools and materials
• Carry out tasks around the yard/workshop and stores
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Be courteous and respectful working in customer’s properties

Salary is commensurate with age and experience.
