The final derivable will be a list of relevant diseases prioritised according to importance for animal and public health, including the available control tools (with special focus on vaccines). This will allow to identify existing gaps and reflect on the role of the Agency to support the development and authorisation of products. The outcome could be published in the Agency website and/or a scientific or regulatory publication.
This project aims to identify emerging animal diseases and other relevant diseases of importance for animal (and potentially human) health and carry out a gap analysis to prioritise these, based on defined parameters, and to evaluate the availability of vaccines (both centrally and nationally authorised) and (possibly) other therapeutic measures to treat or prevent these diseases, within the One Health context.
