We have an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a meaningful career in environmental engineering, joining our field-based team working predominantly in Durham, and also covering the wider-area of Northumberland.
This role offers a structured career path with comprehensive training and mentorship. You’ll develop expertise in the analysis, reporting and management of water supply and distribution networks, progressing from trainee leakage engineer/technician to a qualified Leakage Engineer/Water Network Specialist while gaining valuable technical engineering experience.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
As a trainee leakage engineer/technician, you’ll work outdoors in both urban and rural settings conducting surveys of water network assets to identify and locate leaks. You’ll plan and conduct investigations based on your findings, precisely locate issues, and report them to the water utility for repair. The work involves both collaborative team efforts and independent responsibilities.
