Starting salary: £12.36 per hour (progressing to £13.59 per hour after training / competencies have been met)

Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF ROLE

We currently have a vacancy in our aerofil department for a trainee machine Setter with an immediate start. The main aim of this role is to set / operate the machine in line with SOP’s and production requirements.
We are looking for a hard-working individual who is seeking a permanent full-time position in a reputable company. The business can be fast paced and therefore we are looking for a candidate with stamina and energy. An enthusiastic, friendly, and positive attitude is essential to work within a close-knit team. There are good progression opportunities within the aerofill department for those who can demonstrate their skillset, enthusiasm, and dedication to machine setter then onto senior setter.

RESPONSIBILITIES:- AFTER INITIAL TRAINING

· Perform all duties connected with the day to day running of the machine.
· Be able to train and instruct other members of staff including any precautions necessary for specific products/machines.
· Perform basic general maintenance in keeping with the machines operating instructions.
· In case of an emergency be competent to shut the machine down safely.
· Be able to train other members of staff in the operation of equipment, computer and procedures.
· Ensure finished goods produced meet acceptable standards of quality including weights & measures.
· Ensure staff follow the risk assessment and wear appropriate PPE for specific duties.
· Uphold all H&S responsibilities in line with policies and procedures.
· Handle minor issues and seek further advice from appropriate personnel as required.
· Report any equipment faults or preventative maintenance requirement to the engineering department.
· Assist in investigation of non-conformities relating to the quality of goods produced.
· Supporting the machine managers.
· Promoting good housekeeping.
· Driving trucks in a correct and safe manner.
