Job Summary
We’re looking for a motivated Trainee Network Cabling Engineer (18+) based in Nottingham to join our team. Experience is preferred but not essential — full training will be provided. This is a great opportunity for school leavers or anyone looking to start a career in data cabling and IT infrastructure.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers on a wide variety of projects across the UK, including leisure, retail, construction, NHS, education, and commercial offices. Every week is different, giving you the chance to build real skills in a fast-growing industry.

What you’ll do

• Install copper cabling (Cat5e/6/6a/7)
• Assist with fibre optic cabling & splicing
• Help with Wi-Fi installations
• Support network checks & cabinet installations
• Learn CCTV and AV installation
• Gain hands-on experience in fault finding and network health checks

What we’re looking for

• Age 18+
• Must be based in Nottingham
• Experience preferred but not essential (training provided)
• Reliable, eager to learn, good team player
• Willing to travel nationwide (with some overnight stays – hotel & food provided)
• Own transport OR be local to our Nottingham office
• ECS Datacomms card (or willingness to obtain – we can help)
