Description

Teqniq is searching for a Trainee Passenger Transport Planner to work in the public sector.
37 hours per week.
4 months contract.
09:00-17:30

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working arrangement: Hybrid, with 2 days required in office (1 of these must be on Tuesdays).
About the role:
Passenger transport planning can be very varied depending on the needs of the customers. For example, transport may be required for a child with Special Education Needs with profound disabilities and/or children requiring mainstream school transport from remote hard to reach locations. Reporting to a Senior Planner, you’ll be responsible for planning passenger transport solutions across West Sussex, in either public or schools / adults transport disciplines.
Passenger transport planning can be quite pressured with expectations of immediate solutions, and involves answering technical queries from residents and suppliers about transport arrangements. You will be trained in the use of various processes and the use of specialist planning software.
You’ll need to be able to travel to various locations around the county, including regular visits to the depots, when PPE will be required. Occasional weekend and evening work may be required.
