Job Description In our trainee programme in the field of People & Culture, you will gain first-hand experiences throughout the employee lifecycle. In the area of People & Culture Management, you will learn the core aspects of modern people operations. In the Employer Branding Team, you will learn all about how to position a strong employer brand, develop campaigns and build a strong network among target universities. With that knowledge you are perfectly equipped to connect with the talent market, build relationships and advise hiring managers on recruiting strategies. In the areas of Learning & Development, you will join us creating solutions for personnel development, leadership and culture. Your rotation is rounded off with a stint at People & Culture Transformation, where you will learn METRO’s approach to organizational planning and People Analytics. Further details on our programme: Our traineeship programme is designed to bring you fast-track into a senior expert role in your chosen field. As a trainee, you will have the chance to work in specialized areas, exciting projects and gain exposure to different departments and leaders. In a nutshell: 18 months duration starting on 1 October 2026 International assignment in a METRO country Constant functional and skills training Unlimited contract Networking events Qualifications Master's degree in business/economics with a specialization in Human Resources, business psychology or a related field with very good results Relevant internships in the field of People & Culture / HR Ability to learn quickly, adaptability to new and changing environments, open and pro-active personality Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Both analytical and creative skills while being accurate and reliable Advanced knowledge in Microsoft 365 Fluency in German (C1) and English (B2) Additional Information What we offer: Work-life balance: Flexible working hours - up to 20 working hours/week - with the option of mobile working in agreement with your line manager, prorated holidays earned based on your contract and working time.
