Horizon Photographic is a successful and rapidly expanding School and Nursery Photography provider, working throughout the UK. We specialise in working with young children (4-16) and offer a large range of photography to our schools and clients.
At Horizon, we pride ourselves on being a very friendly team providing an efficient and professional service to our schools and are looking for someone fun, organised and confident to join our amazing team.
We are looking for a London, Surrey or Essex based photographer, willing to travel to London and the surrounding counties. All mileage expenses are fully covered and a full kit is provided.

EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS:

• Qualifications in photography are not essential- your personality is the most important thing to us. All training will be provided.
• Good computer skills will be needed.
• You will need to be educated to at least GCSE Level- particularly in Maths and English. Good communication and calculation skills are essential for the role.
• Experience with children is essential; whether it is within a family environment or a professional one we need photographers who can easily communicate with children making instructions clear but in a happy-go-lucky, patient and friendly manner. This is one of the most important elements that we look for in our photographers.
  IMPORTANT: All applicants must have a full UK driving license and will undergo a DBS check before starting work, therefore a clean criminal record is also essential. Furthermore, whilst we provide full paid training to the correct candidates, upon completion of training you will be required to perform two full seasons of employment with Horizon under contract. If two full seasons are not completed the cost of your training will be fully reclaimed from you.

• As a school photographer you will be providing a wide range of photography styles to our schools including student individual portraits, class group photographs and family portraits.
• You will be working during term-time on a seasonal basis only. The majority of work will be undertaken in the months of April- July and September-December. Therefore this role would suit somebody looking to work around another flexible job or who already works on a freelance basis looking to add to their schedules. You must be available to work throughout our seasonal months.
• All jobs require early starts and you will need to be able to maintain a high level of energy throughout your working day.
• A certain level of fitness is needed in this role as the job requires some heavy lifting and constant movement.
• Occasionally staying away from home is required. Accommodation and sustenance costs are covered. This is of course optional and not mandatory.
• Extensive training and equipment will be provided.
