Trainee Physiotherapist programme at AKUH is unique in a sense that it helps to equip fresh graduates for initiating and establishing their careers in Physiotherapy. Responsibilities: You will have the opportunity and exposure for hands on practice in the following areas, including: assisting in handling patients with pain and physical problems caused by illnesses, disabilities and injuries. maintaining and updating patients' records and documentation. Assisting in evaluation and formulating treatment plan. consulting and collaborating with consulting Physicians and other medical professionals in providing physiotherapy treatments. providing quality physiotherapy treatment to the highest possible levels. educating patients and their families about treatment interventions and home exercises. complying with organizational policies and standards of quality care. The areas of work will include: Outpatients (Pain Management) Intensive Care Pediatrics Women’s Health Neurology (Neuro Medicine / Surgery) Orthopedics Oncology Cardiology Sports Injuries Geriatric Rehabilitation Learning difficulties Requirements: You should have: a BSc. degree in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy with minimum CGPA of 3.5 or 80%25 marks good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills good command in the use of computer applications, particularly MS Office willingness to work independently as well as in teams and handle work pressure.
