Assist in tracking business performance across operating companies and verticals 2. Support development of KPIs and dashboards for real-time decision making 3. Help build and update standard portfolio review templates and trackers Business Review Support 1. Coordinate data collection from finance, strategy, and operational teams of portfolio companies 2. Participate in monthly/quarterly business review preparation 3. Draft business narratives and performance commentaries Reporting & Documentation 1. Prepare summary reports for internal stakeholders and investment committees 2. Maintain central repositories of business plans, investment notes, and board materials 3. Ensure consistency and version control in investor-facing documents Strategic & Transactional Support 1. Support the portfolio team on select due diligence exercises, investment evaluation, or exit-readiness plans 2. Conduct research on market trends, peer benchmarking, and sector-specific developments Cross-Functional Collaboration 1. Liaise with Finance, Legal, ESG, and Strategy teams across Essar entities for alignment 2. Assist in project tracking across investment lifecycle stages: onboarding, transformation, exit Key Performance Indicators * Portfolio Performance Tracking & Analysis Deliver timely and accurate performance tracking for all assigned portfolio companies, including dashboards, MIS, and variance analyses, with ≥95% on-time and error-free submissions. * Strategic Review & Decision Support Independently contribute to board review decks, business analysis notes, and investment memos with meaningful insights, ensuring at least 1–2 high-quality outputs per month. * Process & Reporting Hygiene Maintain 100% compliance with internal reporting formats, naming conventions, documentation protocols, and ensure zero escalation on audit-readiness or document control. * Cross-functional Coordination & Follow-through Close at least 90% of cross-team tasks (Finance, Legal, ESG, Treasury) within expected timelines & maintain proactive follow-up records without requiring manager escalation. * Professional Development & Ownership Mindset Demonstrate active learning across financial modelling, capital structuring, sectoral knowledge, and business strategy, with visible ownership of deliverables.
