TRAINEE PRODUCTION OPERATORS REQUIRED

Tods are looking to recruit trainee Production Operators, to work in our Polyurethane Department, to commence work as soon as possible, who have a keen eye for detail and quality.
All trainees are to put into practice all instructions given and outlined by their Team Leader or Deputy Team Leader. It is anticipated that trainees spend several weeks, months or even years to become fully knowledgeable in their jobs. A trainee is assessed at all times as the training progresses. Maintaining a professional attitude and showing excellent listening skills are two of the most important attributes to be demonstrated.
In addition, good communication skills, confidence, problem-solving and an ability to develop and maintain relationships among colleagues and supervisors are essential.
You will be working as a part of a multi-skilled team to meet deadlines with full training and mentoring provided. You will learn the following key skills whilst working on a structured training programme:

    Tods has been in existence for more than 90 years, and is a preferred choice for the Royal Navy for the production of sonar domes, acoustic windows, acoustic coatings and other complex structures for surface warships and submarines.

    Tods is a growing business, based on Portland and it is great time to join our workforce. The role is full time, offering 38 hours per week with the opportunity to work overtime once trained. In return we offer 25 days holiday + bank holidays and a company pension scheme.
    We operate a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday from 7am - 5pm.
    Portland is based on Dorset’s beautiful Jurassic coast and is home to a huge variety of water-sports facilities and excellent sailing for all abilities.
