JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Trainee Production Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Trainee Production Technician, you will work towards achieving the required skills to become a Production Technician. Our Production Technicians are responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all wheat cleaning, milling, pelleting and flour heat treatment units at our Wellingborough site. There will be a full training plan covering all areas of the milling operations at the Wellingborough site which will be supported by the successful completion of all UK Flour Millers Correspondence Courses.

Responsibilities
  • Aiding the Production Technicians.
  • To carry daily checks in line with our process.
  • Routine testing of flour to ensure it meets customer specifications
  • Carrying out HACCP and food safety checks in line with Company procedures
  • To carry out regular CCP checks (e.g. magnets / metal detectors) in line with the work instruction manual
  • Ensuring wheat is cleaned to quality standards
  • Ensuring production requirements are met and customer orders fulfilled
  • Supervision of bulk intake of flour, gluten and creta
  • Maximising the efficiency of the mill & flour heat treatment plants by operating and adjusting the equipment accordingly
  • Minimising downtime within the mill by responding efficiently to breakdowns and providing solutions to prevent reoccurring problems
  • To perform cleaning duties in line with the schedules.
  • To demonstrate an awareness of Environmental controls (i.e. dust emissions / noise)
