Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Project Engineer to join our project delivery team. This is a hands-on role supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of the electrical installation within a secure and highly regulated environment.
As part of this role, the successful candidate will be enrolled on a structured training programme leading to a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Electrical Engineering. This provides a clear pathway towards becoming a qualified Project Engineer within our business.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Project Manager and Construction Manager with day-to-day engineering and coordination tasks.
  • Assist with reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Help prepare and maintain installation records, test documentation, and red-line drawings.
  • Participate in site inspections and quality checks under supervision.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to support smooth project delivery.
  • Assist in tracking progress against programme milestones and reporting on site activities.
  • Contribute to document control processes and ensure information is accurately captured and filed.
  • Help monitor site safety practices and attend regular briefings/toolbox talks.
  • Support procurement, materials tracking, and logistics planning as required.
  • Take part in project meetings with the client, including coordination and progress reviews.
