JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dual role - Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our brand new dental practice, specialising in Orthodontics.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the set up and development of our new practice.
Providing high-quality patient care assisting the specialists and therapist during clinical procedures, ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of orthodontic dental treatment.
Also supporting our front of house team for a fantastic patient journey.
This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a professional approach and a welcoming environment for patients.

SKILLS

  • Proficient IT skills for managing patient records.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment.
  • A background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients’ needs is desirable.
  • Previous experience in orthodontics as a dental nurse is highly advantageous. However, we will consider and support a dental nurse without orthodontic experience or a trainee dental nurse with no experience who will be prepared to undertake the necessary training
    Salary will be according to experience and discussed at interview.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the orthodontist during treatment procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
  • Provide exceptional patient care by supporting patients ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with health regulations and legislation.
  • Sterilise instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area in accordance with HTM-0105 and all health and safety guidelines.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions (if trained to do so)
  • Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
