Overview Element has an opportunity for a Trainee Radiographic Technician to work at our facility in Dudley 39 hrs 6am-2pm Monday- Friday and 2pm-10pm Monday- Friday (no lunch) Paid 20 min break. You will be responsible for assisting radiographic testing on components and parts used in Aerospace and the defence sector. Responsibilities Assist radiography (X-ray & Gamma) tests in accordance with written company procedures A high proportion of manual handling of components is required Help prepare components for test, setup, and adjust test equipment Assist in the maintenance of related test equipment and tools in good working conditionCompletion of assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner Skills / Qualifications Ideally educated to a good level in maths, science or mechanical engineering Takes the initiative Able to decide on and implement appropriate testing methods and protocols Leads and assigns the work of others when needed Adapt at managing job priority and work time in accordance with targets / goals set by supervisor Under the close guidance of advanced Engineers, works on well delineated technical issues Has a clearly demonstrated ability to apply an array of testing techniques in a rational and practical style to help examine issues and build solutions We are keen to hear from candidates from a mechanical, engineering, scientific background who would love a unique career working for a Testing, Inspection and Certification company Diversity Statement At Element, we always take pride in putting our people first.
