Trainee Entry Frying Role
We are looking for a bright and talented individual with a genuine passion for working in the catering and service industry with ambition to learn to become a first-class fryer. You are the right candidate if you have the following mindset.

Hours
· Lunchtime, evenings shifts to be agreed but must work weekends
· Hours Required Approx. 25 hours per week
· Additional hours for covering other shifts in the event of staff sickness/holiday will be required on an add hoc basis
· Shifts are be split between our Westbourne and Hayling Island branch so must have transport
Trainee Frying Pay Rate; £10.00 to £13.44 per hour (depending on age/experience)
Responsibilities – You will be trained in:
·Cooking products to order and to consistent exceptional high standard
·Preparing product to standard and portion control – fish cutting, potato preparations, batter & sauces
· Stock control; checking quality, rotation with permanent vigilance over stock usage/wastage and critical portion control
· Ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness and health & safety are kept at all times
· Learn to lead and motivate a small team. Coordinating & motivating staff, inspiring and leading by example
· Cashing up and locking up
· Friendly and professional approach to customers and your team, especially under pressure during peak trade period
· H&S, HACCP and COSSH & environmental health records are maintained to highest standard
· You will also be taught counter server role to have the rounded skills to support front of house team (critical date labelling & checks, till operation, packing and serving food, opening & closing duties etc)

Desired Experience:
· No formal education required but any catering training would be advantageous
· Holds a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate would be advantageous
· Understanding of SFBB, HACCP & COSSH would be advantageous
· At least 2 years working in catering (preferably Fish & Chips) and some initial experience frying would be advantageous
