ABOUT THE ROLE Horizon Radiology is looking for their next two trainee Sonographers. These positions will commence asap. Candidates should be mature, highly motivated, hardworking, have excellent communication skills and patient empathy. You will be given excellent clinical training and academic guidance at all our ultrasound sites with many experienced sonographers as well as having support from our 2 clinical tutors. You are fully supervised for your entire training period. To be considered, you must: Be able to cope under stressful situations and high work demand in this busy department. Being a team player is essential. Be an enthusiastic learner able to take constructive feedback. Show a high level of commitment - the course is tough and there needs to be total commitment for the duration of the training with a high level of self-motivation to achieve all the goals both clinically and academically. Be dedicated for the duration of your training and have no planned long leave/ travel plans etc. This is a post graduate position, previous MRT (Radiographer) or a health background is essential, as well as completing at least one Ultrasound paper from the Auckland University We prefer you to study through the Auckland University course as our clinical tutors liaise with these tutors and are accredited to perform all the practical assessments required throughout the training.
