ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Technician (Stack Emissions) to join our growing emissions testing team at Cura Terrae OH & Emissions Testing, (formerly Envirocare).
You will work alongside experienced Team Leaders to plan and carry out accredited emissions testing at industrial sites across the UK. All work is conducted in line with international standards and the Cura Terrae Quality Management System.
This is a practical, travel-based role where a professional attitude, commitment to health and safety, and a willingness to learn are key. Full training and ongoing mentoring will be provided.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Interest in environmental monitoring and industrial processes
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential due to extensive travel)
  • Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and undertaking physically demanding tasks
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but full training is provided

Responsibilities
  • Communicate professionally with clients on-site
  • Carry out environmental sampling following prescribed procedures
  • Attend and participate in site inductions
  • Travel extensively to customer sites, including overnight stays
  • Plan, prepare, and pack sampling equipment
  • Clean, maintain, repair, and calibrate scientific equipment
  • Assist in preparing Site-Specific Protocols (SSPs) and risk assessments
  • Prepare and ship samples to laboratories
  • Follow all company and client Health & Safety and Quality Management policies
