TRAINEE TECHNICAL DESIGNER

This role involves turning ideas into reality and finding innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges. As trainee Technical designer you will execute concepts through technical drawings in Sketch Up & In-design and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
Not only will you design but you will manage some assigned projects from concept to delivery including client management, sourcing materials and attending the project installation where appropriate.

Experience:

• Sketchup: 1 year (preferred)

• Collaborate with creative and fabrication teams to assist with initial project approaches and methodologies.
• Create concepts and render drawings for clients in consultation with the Creative Director.
• Proactively practice and seek out learning opportunities to enhance technical design and rendering abilities.
• Develop production design drawings, build methods, and internal costings for your assigned project in collaboration with Creative Director.
• Ensure all technical documentation & drawings are accurate, up-to-date, and support the workshop team with solutions and queries.
• Develop and maintain databases of technical design assets for use across all projects.

Project Management

• Lead the projects assigned to you from concept to installation.
• Document & allocate tasks to the relevant team members to ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget
• Take part in daily huddles to give updates and ensure all aspects of your assigned projects are running smoothly
• Client management
• Source materials, suppliers and specialists required to fulfill project requirements.
• Assist in the workshop where required to build project components
• Identify and contribute to solutions for challenges that arise during the manufacturing and installation process.
• Travel to event and client sites to support the installation and assembly of projects as required - to include evenings & weekends.
• Ensure installations are carried out efficiently, professionally, and to the highest standard.
• Follow all safety guidelines and adhere to best practices in all aspects of the job.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and comply with workshop and site-specific safety protocols.

As this is a trainee role, we do not expect you to have experience in all of these areas. Please do clearly highlight in your application the areas you do have experience in.

Pay: €30,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
