Job Description
We have an excellent opportunity for a trainee to join our Technical Support team. This exciting opportunity is based within a well-established and expanding business. We strive to seek team members who will grow with us, whilst adding value to our organisation.

THE TRAINEE ROLE

Initially comprises of shadowing and assisting the technical support team whilst actively developing your own knowledge of the industry. The aim is to progress onto producing drainage take-offs independently. This position relies upon your willingness to learn and retain a vast amount of information. This is a development position with the intention of progressing to an Assistant within the department after roughly 18-24 months, depending on the progression of the individual this may be achieved sooner. It is expected that the first 6 months of a Trainee role is based around understanding processes, compliance and legislations, product learning and shadowing Assistants and Technicians. This role will include training on different aspects of the business, such as handling products within the branch and understanding the sales process from manufacturer to customer. We look to use all tools available to help develop a career within the industry.
Qualifications
Desirable: General understanding of AutoCAD. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Analytical and problem-solving skills would be an advantage.
Required: A level or equivalent, Math, English, Science - Grade A-C.
Preferred: Driving License
No prior industry knowledge necessary – full training will be given on-site

THIS ROLE COULD SUIT SOMEBODY WHO HAS RECENTLY LEFT EDUCATION OR WHO HAS BEEN IN A TECHNICAL ROLE ALREADY AND ARE LOOKING TO DEVELOP.

Additional Information
Applications will be given preference from people within a commutable distance of Longtown, Carlisle or who could easily relocate (no relocation package is available). We will not consider applications from overseas applicants who do not have the legal right to live and work in the UK.
