We’re excited to offer a paid 12-month Traineeship in our Terminal Services team, a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. As a WSI Trainee, you’ll work alongside our amazing team in a supportive learning environment that integrates on-the-job practical experience and formal training. The traineeship will elevate your level of skills, confidence and longer-term employability, plus you’ll be making a real contribution to the future of Sydney’s new airport in Sydney’s cultural heartland. How it works: You’ll commit to completing a Traineeship for a 12-month period, commencing Feb 2026. The Traineeship is designed for students who have recently completed Year 12 or equivalent. You’ll gain hands-on experience in an airport operations environment, supported by a structured learning pathway. WSI will support your learning journey by integrating formal training with TAFE during the traineeship. You’ll receive membership to WSI’s Early Careers Network. We’ll assign you a buddy/mentor to provide informal guidance and support throughout the Traineeship. Key responsibilities: The traineeship provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across terminal operations and airport service delivery, while supporting the team in delivering safe and efficient airport operations. Provide support to the Terminal Services team to ensure smooth and efficient airport operations. Assist with planning and coordination of service delivery and customer experience initiatives. Conduct research into ground handling and airline operations to support the development of terminal operations. Prepare reports and summaries based on research and observations. Participate in team workshops and stakeholder meetings, contributing to continuous improvement. Participate in formal training. Provide general administrative support. Contribute to team goals and broader WSI objectives. About you: This is a great opportunity if you’re about to complete Year 12 (or equivalent) and are interested in supporting customer service and airport terminal operations. A genuine passion for customer service and contributing to a positive team culture. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. You’re self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks and a strong sense of initiative. High attention to detail, checking all tasks for accuracy and quality, seeking improvements where possible. Strong time management and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team. You’ll need your own transport to attend our offices in Liverpool, Luddenham and Badgerys Creek.
