DO YOU HAVE THE ABILITY AND EXPERIENCE :

  • To carry out detailed product testing and inspections on a range of products and produce reports?
  • To use common electronics laboratory equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and other common electronics lab equipment?
  • To ensure accuracy when handling data and reporting?
  • To help drive improvements to quality control by understanding the purpose of detailed instrumented measurements, the importance of maintaining records appreciating and are able to revising and improve in-house works instructions?

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES AS TRAINEE WILL BE

  • Following, all the provided test instructions for each instrument or accessory presented for test in our production department.
  • Providing constructive input and feedback to help improve our test instructions.
  • Taking responsibility for the day to day running of our production test department and associated Production and Goods Inward Testing & Inspection roles, meeting all agreed targets.
  • Taking responsibility for ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards before leaving the Production department.
  • Liaising with the Operations Manager on current targets, schedules, and workload, to ensure they are met.
  • Reporting to the Product Lab Manager on all test performance and QA issues
  • Ensuring all test records, filing & archiving, both manual and electronic, are maintained accurately for audit and traceability purposes.
  • Rejecting any faulty goods/workmanship using the current reject process.
  • Ensuring that all copies or work’s instructions followed by the Test Department are current and that only properly documented changes are implemented.
  • Maintaining familiarity with each of the company’s products in order to understand and perform all final engineering and functional tests.
  • Existing Knowledge of Excel macros (OLE/VBA) would be advantageous but not essential
