Responsibilities

The Unaccredited Trainee in Obstetrics & Gynaecology will provide first-line medical care to patients presenting to the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department, including assessment, investigation, treatment and referral for ongoing noninpatient care or, on consultation with consultant specialists, admission/transfer for inpatient care. Provision of evidence-based and quality clinical care of individual patients in all domains of medical practice:

  • Patient interview
  • Clinical examination
  • Identify of clinical problems and health opportunities.
  • Plan of overall clinical care and health promotion.
  • Maintain of concise but comprehensive, accurate, legible records of patient stats, progress notes and associated correspondence.
  • Manage the administrative requirements of patient care including ensuring the discharge summary and medico-legal correspondence is completed with minimal delay.
  • Participate in the roster including after hours and weekend cover as required.
  • Participation in educational activities.
  • Act in accordance with the Local Health District Values Charter and the NSW Health Code of Conduct.
