This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies Warfare Systems partners with the DoD and defense innovation ecosystem to rapidly acquire and field critical and emerging technologies, particularly integrated communications, networking, and Systems-of-Systems (SoS) technologies, to enhance national security and warfighter capabilities. Through a multiagency contracting approach, the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative focuses on advancing these technologies to achieve multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. This includes a broad range of services such as systems engineering, cybersecurity, operational integration, and data analytics, all aimed at modernizing communications and ensuring seamless information exchange for the DoD and its allies.
This role is part of a pending contract proposal. We are actively interviewing to identify qualified candidates in anticipation of a successful award.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively
  • Capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of contributing to successful team outcomes

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge of DoD acquisition and contracting processes

  • Working familiarity with federal compliance standards (e.g., DFARS, ITAR)
  • PMP, CISSP, or other relevant certifications preferred

Responsibilities
  • Conducts training (Del. 21) to enhance individual and organizational performance while supporting the adoption and use of developed technologies.
  • Uses training development programs designed by the Training and Exercise Specialist (TREX).
  • Collaborates with the Training Assessment and Evaluation Specialist(s) and Instructional Systems Designer(s).
  • Reviews and updates instructor and student materials to reflect advancements and evolving system capabilities.
  • Trains personnel by delivering formal classroom courses, workshops, seminars, virtual sessions, and computer-based/computer-aided training.
  • Provides training support to personnel, Combatant Commands (CCMD), interagency partners, and other Mission Partners on request.
  • Facilitates individual, collective, train-the-trainer, and unit training, ensuring personnel can use upgraded equipment effectively.
  • Conducts hands-on instruction to teach technical and operational skills necessary for advanced systems and tools.
  • Collects lessons learned during training exercises and uses insights to refine instructional approaches and materials.
  • Supports the research, development, fielding, and testing of new equipment and application concepts, while proactively identifying and addressing threats to US interests, capabilities, and personnel.
  • Provides technical support during exercises, enabling participants to use upgraded equipment in realistic scenarios.
  • Ensures the integration and functionality of new systems during simulations and operational tests.
  • Facilitates the extraction of key data during AARs to enhance training outcomes and system performance.
  • Delivers outputs and documentation to meet operational requirements.
