Job Duties and Responsibilities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a technical field, education, or a related discipline preferred

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts in an understandable manner to diverse audiences (both verbally and in writing)
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with trainees
  • Understanding of IHS products, systems, and installation processes, including hardware, software, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of how adults learn best, including various instructional design methods, and the ability to adapt training styles to different learning preferences
  • Efficiently manage training schedules, resources, and other tasks related to the role
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, demonstrate physical tasks related to installations, and lift up to 65 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations for training sessions, conferences, or professional development as needed

Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive training programs (in-person and virtual) for new and existing technicians on IHS (Integrated Home Systems) products, services, and installation best practices
  • Conduct practical, hands-on training sessions that mirror real-world installation scenarios, ensuring technicians gain proficiency in various IHS solutions
  • Assess technician performance through evaluations and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement
  • Stay current with IHS technologies, updates, and industry trends to ensure training content delivery remains relevant
  • Track and report on training effectiveness and technician development, contributing to the continuous improvement of training initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with a team of trainers and other departments to achieve shared goals and enhance overall operational efficiency
