Description Job Summary: The Trainer – Production Assistants is responsible for onboarding, training, and developing Production Assistants and Agency workers to ensure they can successfully perform required job duties in the Finishing department. This role provides hands-on instruction at production lines, teaches quality and safety standards, ensures trainees understand job requirements, and supports continuous improvement efforts. The Trainer works closely with Production Supervisors and Machine Operators to maintain consistent training methods and high performance across the shift. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct hands on training for new and existing Production Assistants and Agency workers on job duties Provide instruction on production processes, equipment, workflow, and departmental procedures Demonstrate how to identify and escalate quality issues Train employees on maintaining clean, organized, and safe work environments while reinforcing safety policies and best practices Observe trainees during task execution and provide constructive coaching, guidance, and performance feedback Collaborate with supervisors to align training with job expectations, production goals and safety requirements Maintain training checklists, and related documentation to track progress and compliance Support cross-training efforts to enhance workplace versatility and operational efficiency Serve as a resource for Production Assistants and reinforce best practices continuous improvement efforts Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Two (2) years of experience as a Production Assistant or similar role Strong understanding of production procedures and quality standards Ability to train, mentor, and coach employees Reliable and punctual Ability to differentiate colors to identify printing errors Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work overtime as needed
