ABOUT US

Big Life is in the business of changing lives. We fight inequality by working with people and places to create opportunities and inspire change. Whatever service we deliver, we do things the Big Life Way.
Our training offer supports both internal staff and external partners to deliver inclusive, strength-based, person-centred care. We co-produce our training with people who have lived experience, ensuring that our courses reflect real-world needs and promote wellbeing, resilience, and understanding across communities and organisations.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • You have experience designing and delivering training to diverse audiences
  • You’re confident delivering both in-person and online sessions, using interactive methods
  • You’re comfortable working collaboratively with staff, partners, and people with lived experience
  • You understand trauma-informed and strength-based approaches and embed them in your work
  • You have a recognised teaching or training qualification
  • You’re organised, proactive, and able to adapt your style to suit different learners
  • You’re committed to equality, inclusion, and ongoing personal development
  • You need a standard level DBS check for this role
Responsibilities

As a Trainer, you’ll design and deliver high-quality training programmes for The Big Life group and external clients. You’ll create bespoke content focused on workforce development, health and wellbeing, and anti-discrimination practices – ensuring alignment with trauma-informed, culturally competent, and strengths-based approaches.
You’ll develop both accredited and non-accredited content for online and in-person delivery, and contribute to the growth of our training offer by running “train the trainer” courses and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
You’ll support the empowerment of people and communities to build confidence, skills, and wellbeing through accessible learning.
