Description
Training and Development Manager | $80,000 - $85,000 | On-site   A new employee finishes training. They attended the sessions. Completed the LMS modules. Signed the acknowledgments. A few weeks later, they're in the field. One team is performing exactly the way the training intended. Another team isn't. That's where this role begins.   We're hiring a Training and Development Manager who understands that training isn't measured by attendance, completion rates, or how polished a presentation looks. It's measured by what happens after people leave the classroom.   What This Role Really Is This isn't a role for someone who simply delivers training. It's for someone who can identify performance gaps, build learning solutions, influence leaders, and create programs that drive measurable improvement across an organization. You'll partner with operational teams throughout RISE to understand what's working, what's not, and how learning can help bridge the gap. You'll also help us continue integrating AI and emerging learning technologies into the way we develop people, create content, and scale training across the organization.   Who This Role Is For This role is for someone who: * Sees training as a business function, not an administrative task * Enjoys solving operational challenges through development and education * Can build curriculum from scratch, not just facilitate existing content * Understands adult learning principles and how people actually retain information * Is comfortable using AI tools to accelerate content creation and improve efficiency * Can influence leaders and field teams without direct authority * Measures success through performance improvement, not participation numbers   Who This Role Is NOT For This role is probably not a fit if: * You prefer delivering training rather than designing it * You rely on the same materials and methods year after year * You need constant direction or supervision * You're uncomfortable learning and adopting new technology * You view training as separate from operational results We're looking for someone who wants to build, improve, challenge, and evolve the way training happens.   What You'll Be Responsible For * Identifying training needs across the organization * Conducting needs assessments and determining whether challenges require training, operational changes, or both * Designing and implementing training programs that support business objectives * Creating customized learning materials, resources, and support tools * Measuring training effectiveness and recommending improvements * Supporting new property transitions and large-scale training initiatives * Partnering with operational leaders to improve performance and consistency * Managing and supporting LMS compliance efforts * Leveraging AI tools to accelerate curriculum design, content creation, and training development * Evaluating emerging learning technologies and recommending innovative solutions * Traveling to communities and regional teams as needed to support training efforts   What We're Looking For * 5+ years of training and development experience * 2+ years of curriculum development experience * Multifamily or property management experience required * Strong instructional design and facilitation skills * Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) * Excellent communication and business writing abilities * Strong organizational and project management skills * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities * Experience with Entrata is highly preferred   Why RISE As RISE continues to grow, training has become one of the most important drivers of operational consistency and long-term success. This role has the opportunity to influence how hundreds of employees learn, develop, and perform across the organization. You'll work closely with leaders throughout the company, help shape the future of learning at RISE, and play a meaningful role in developing the people who drive our business forward.   Interested? If you've ever left a training session wondering whether it actually changed anything... If you're energized by building better systems, stronger teams, and more effective learning experiences... And if you believe training should drive performance—not just participation... We'd love to talk with you.
Responsibilities
The role focuses on identifying performance gaps and designing measurable learning solutions to drive operational improvement. Responsibilities include creating customized training materials, leveraging AI for content creation, and partnering with leaders to ensure consistency across the organization.
