Description

The Training and Development Manager is responsible for developing and implementing training and organizational development strategy, creating and leading training programs and processes, and ensuring the organization is positioned to meet the immediate and future needs to support the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. The Training and Development Manager provides strategic leadership by articulating the organization’s training and development needs and plans to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development.
  • Proven experience directing corporate wide training and development programs.

SKILLS:

  • Builds relationships Strong technology proficiency and expertise in e-learning platforms, learning management systems (LMS).
  • Facilitates learning with clear explanations and active listening to create an effective learning environment.
  • Must have outstanding presentation skills and executive presence.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills - inspires teams, guides development, and encourages growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving and decision making skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Hands-on experience with Enterprise LinkedIn and HR information systems
    Annual Base Salary Range: $110,000-$150,000. This position is eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus program.

  • Provides overall leadership and guidance to the HR training and development function.
  • Leads the creation and coordination of engaging and effective training programs tailored to the organization’s needs, ensuring alignment with company goals and values.
  • Oversees the development of career pathing programs and succession planning.
  • Conducts training sessions using various methods, including in-person workshops, e-learning modules, and self-guided resources.
  • Identifies training needs through employee assessments, performance reviews, and collaboration with department heads.
  • Manages, deploys and assesses the effectiveness of training programs and makes necessary adjustments based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Designs curriculum and instructional materials tailored to specific job roles.
  • Collaborates with external training providers and consultants when necessary.
  • Facilitates onboarding programs for new hires.
  • Formulates, monitors, and manages training budgets to ensure cost-effective program delivery.
  • Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new training and development practices and programs.
  • Ensures all training and development activities are in compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Conducts regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of training plans and implementation.
  • Leads the Enterprise LinkedIn Learning program for all employees.
