Overview:
The Training and Development Specialist provides comprehensive support for training and development initiatives, enhance personnel skills, ensure compliance, and improve the effectiveness of Army FMS and security assistance programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Training Sessions: Conduct six 3-day training sessions annually in Washington, DC, Huntsville, AL, and Detroit, MI, focusing on FMS, security assistance, export controls, and compliance.
  • Computer-Based Training (CBT): Maintain and update CBT programs and platform instruction tailored to Army personnel involved in international technology transfer and export control processes.
  • Workshops: Conduct workshops to ensure compliance with regulations like ITAR, MTCR, and Army export policies.
  • Certification Tracking: Monitor progress of personnel in FMS-coded positions to ensure timely completion of Security Cooperation Workforce Certifications and Acquisition Career Certifications.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development of training policies and procedures for DASA DEC and the Army FMS community.
  • Training Materials: Develop, review, and distribute training materials to address deficiencies and improve processes.
