The Training and Recruiting Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s human resources and workforce development functions. This position is responsible for coordinating candidate screening and interview scheduling, managing employee training and professional development initiatives, and overseeing apprenticeship and internship programs. Additionally, the role ensures accurate and confidential maintenance of employee records in compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities Recruitment Support Conduct initial candidate screenings, including resume reviews and phone pre-screens Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure timely communication with candidates Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, job fairs, and candidate pipeline management Training & Professional Development Support Assist with onboarding and orientation programs for new hires Plan, schedule, and track internal and external training opportunities Maintain training records to ensure compliance with required certifications and continuing education Apprenticeship & Internship Program Support Manage internship and apprenticeship program data Serve as the primary point of contact for interns, apprentices, and job applicants Employee Records & HR Compliance Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files (electronic and/or paper) Ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements related to recordkeeping and onboarding Assist with audits, reporting, and document retrieval as needed Support HR processes including some onboarding, offboarding, and status changes All other duties as assigned in support of the Tides mission. Requirements Education & Experience 1–3 years of experience in HR coordination, recruitment, or workforce development preferred Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite and Google Work Suite (or similar tools) Preferred Salary Range: $48,000-$53,000 per year plus full benefits Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, education, language capacity, skills, and other qualifications relevant to the role, in alignment with organizational parity guidelines and market conditions.
