ABOUT YOU In all roles, you will bring knowledge and experience in supporting and/or managing training activities and/or plan, develop, execute and deliver training and courses related to subject field. You will ensure that training coordination, content, methodologies, and delivery meet airworthiness and locally established requirements. You will actively support and contribute to learning and development processes, helping to build professional, business, and technical capabilities relevant to the mission. Through your work, you will contribute to both day-to-day performance and long-term effectiveness of the organization, directly supporting the achievement of its objectives. Depending on the location you are interested in, as an instructor, you will bring a solid professional background in logistics/supply & aircraft maintenance and/or Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations. Read more about the role here under “Application Form”: https://awacs.nato.int/contact/civillian-personnel-branch/job-vacancies YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE For all roles, you must have Profound and current post related professional experience; Higher Secondary education and completed medium/higher vocational training leading to a formal technical or professional certification, or or Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation (for the G15/G17 role, a higher secondary education is minimum with more profound professional experience); (For the instructor roles): The incumbent must have all necessary attributes to perform as an instructor and the capability to instruct technical and complex subjects in own subject matter field; Working knowledge of Automatic Data Processing (ADP) systems; A good command of English both written and spoken; A University degree, any further relevant national or NATO course in subject field, as well as experience working in a NATO, international or military environment will be considered as an advantage. Additionally, the following requirements must be met for each role: Senior Training Manager, G17 Required: Proven ability to maintain overall responsibility for developing, evaluating, planning, programming and conducting training; Experience in application of techniques for improvement and develop training policy and process; Ability to demonstrate and maintain compliance with established policies, including those relating to sustainability and security; Experience in managing a training organization, and ability to provide requirements expertise and familiarity with NATO budgetary and MTFP policies and procedures; Previous experience in a military and/or NATO organization and project management; Previous experience /knowledge in the NATO ISR Programme, or equivalent; Working knowledge of AER(EP).p-2147 and AER(EP).P-66 regulations or equivalent, EMAR 147 and EMAR 66 or commercial EASA 147 and EASA 66 regulations. Desirable: Previous NATO experience working in an Aviation Training international military environment as Instructor; Working knowledge of Project Management; Qualified EASA Part 66/147; Host Nation language (Italian) skills in order to maintain professional contact with Host Nation Airworthiness Authority and Armed Forces Divisions. Staff Officer (Course Development and Training Quality), G15 Required: Previous experience in course development methods, training execution and delivery; Knowledge of NATO Training Quality Assurance administration and management; Knowledge/experience in the NATO ISR Programme or equivalent; Solid working knowledge in an international military environment. Senior Assistant (Mech/Tech Maintenance Instructor), G12 Required: Instructor course (preferably NATO); Experience in learning and development management. Desirable: Skills and experience in line with DAAA Instructor requirements; Experience in RQ4 type System and excellent knowledge of EMAR Part 147 Part 66 or National equivalent. Senior Assistant (CIS NETWORK Maintenance Instructor), G12 Required: Experience in learning and development management; Previous knowledge/experience in the NATO ISR Programme or equivalent; Knowledge of the NATO ISR CORE Systems. Desirable: Skills and experience in line with DAAA Instructor requirements; Experience in RQ4 type System and excellent knowledge of EMAR Part 147 Part 66 or National equivalent. Senior Assistant (CIS System Admin Maintenance Instructor), G12 Required: Experience in learning and development management. Desirable: Previous knowledge/experience in the NATO ISR Programme or equivalent; Experience in CIS System Administration related training; Skills and experience in line with DAAA Instructor requirements; Experience in RQ4 type System and excellent knowledge of EMAR Part 147 Part 66 or National equivalent. ISR Instructor, G12 Required: Operational experience in exploitation and analysis of optical, infrared and radar imagery including moving target indication (MTI) using techniques of photo-grammetry and terrain analysis, to include using electronic, mechanical and optical devices to support tactical and strategic reconnaissance and surveillance operations; Experience in an imagery production, collection, or analysis position; Instructional background, experience in teaching methods technique; Instructor Course (preferably NATO). Desirable: ISR background; Previous experience with High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) aircraft; Qualified instructor; Host Nation (Italian) language skills. Staff Assistant (Training Management), G10 Required: Experience in carrying out administrative and office management functions, to include managing complex data bases and various internal/external customers, suppliers, partners. Desirable: Experience in supporting training efforts in an international, military or NATO environment; Experience in training management systems and data bases; Experience in minute taking, suspense and action item tracking; Excellent grasp of written and verbal communications. Staff Assistant (Training), G12 Required: Experience in training development utilizing a systematic approach to training (SAT); Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance and experience in conducting aircraft maintenance related training. Desirable: Familiarity with technical/industrial Quality Assurance programmes; Experience in operational logistics or previous experience as a logistics staff member at a national or NATO Headquarters; Certified Instructor and training on various methods of instruction as well as experience in conducting logistics related training. Staff Assistant (Training), G10 Required: Experience in training development utilizing a systematic approach to training (SAT); Experience conducting logistics related training; Working knowledge of supply related functions; Working knowledge of interpreting technical publications and analysing and rectifying logistics related problems. Desirable: Experience in conducting management related training; Familiarity with technical/industrial Quality Assurance programmes; Experience in aircraft systems maintenance or previous experience as a maintenance related staff member.
