Description:
OVERVIEW
As Training, Compliance, and Quality Assurance Officer you will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of training programs, compliance procedures, and quality assurance measures to ensure the safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory adherence of all dock and door operations. This role will specifically focus on third-party compliance sites, employee training for health and safety standards, and ensuring adherence to industry regulations. The Officer will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) are a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in compliance coordination, preferably in the industrial, logistics, or construction sectors.
- Experience in the dock and door industry or similar environment is highly desirable.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Exceptional computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and compliance management software.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interact professionally with vendors, suppliers, and employees at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure all company operations and projects comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Monitor and track regulatory changes and work with leadership to implement necessary adjustments.
- Prepare and maintain compliance documentation and reports.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
- Review vendor compliance reports, contracts, and performance to ensure they meet industry standards.
- Maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and vendors to resolve issues or discrepancies.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure compliance procedures are understood and followed.
- Conduct training sessions for employees to ensure compliance protocols are followed.
- Serve as a key point of contact for employees seeking guidance on compliance-related matters.
- Use company software and systems to track, report, and analyze compliance data.
- Utilize document management systems to store and retrieve compliance-related documentation.
- Leverage Microsoft Office Suite and specialized compliance software for reporting and project management.
- Prepare audit materials and provide support during audits.
- Prepare regular compliance reports for management review.
- Identify areas of improvement in compliance practices and propose solutions.
- Identify and assess potential risks related to compliance and safety.
- Work with teams to mitigate risks and implement corrective actions.
