Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Service Training Consultant will develop and deliver comprehensive training solutions, which involve proficiently using and maintaining training aids and lab equipment. The consultant will also collaborate with the project team lead to create instructor-led training (ILTs) and web-based training (WBTs) on relevant subjects based on the required area of expertise. Actively involved in promoting continuous improvement, optimizing resource utilization, and driving technological adoption, ensuring that training initiatives are consistently aligned with organizational goals and standards.

  • This position is located in Peoria, IL.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • This position will require up to 25% of working time travel, both domestic and international.

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART (PREFERRED SKILLS):

  • Previous service experience working with / troubleshooting earth moving equipment, hydraulics systems, machine electronics and systems
  • Technical Degree or Experience should include: Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology OR Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering OR equivalent technical experience in Components, Systems or Products
  • Working knowledge of Caterpillar Systems such as SIS
  • Experience with Cat technology solutions, such as 2D / 3D Grade Control, VisionLink or similar platforms
  • Familiar using Abobe Indesign, Illustrator and 3D Mockup and SAP 3D software
  • Mining and / or Construction Industry product application experience
  • Caterpillar Instructor Accreditation Program (CIAP)
  • Proven ability to adjust and effectively train multi-cultural audiences
  • Positive attitude of responsibility, safety and keeping standards high
  • Passionate about people development
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Spanish or other language capabilities would be a great plus

SUMMARY PAY RANGE:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.

Responsibilities:

Conduct Cat Machine Training:

  • Deliver hands-on and theoretical training on various Cat machines to dealers and customers
  • Ensure participants understand the operating principles, maintenance and repair requirements, and best practices for each machine

Conduct System & component -Based Training:

  • Provide in-depth training on Cat machine systems, including electrical, engine, hydraulic, powertrain, brake, and components
  • Guide participants in system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Learning Solutions Development:

  • Develop customized training solutions in partnership with the machine product groups
  • Ensure that learning materials are up to date with the latest machine models, technologies, and system enhancements
  • Develop both instructor led and e-learning content, tailored to meet various learner needs
