POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Training Coordinator will report to the Safety Manager and support training efforts for both surface and underground drilling projects across various locations in the Western U.S. This role will deliver training in both hands-on field settings and classroom environments. Responsibilities include assisting with Part 48 (A & B) New Miner and Annual Refresher training, as well as facilitating specialty courses as needed (e.g., CDL, mobile crane operation, etc.).
The Training Coordinator must be comfortable speaking in front of large groups and possess strong computer skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with drilling equipment and procedures, along with the capability to train operators and provide sign-off for most drilling-related mobile equipment.
This position follows a rotating schedule, with flexibility between a 10/4 or 14/7 schedule. However, the successful candidate must be prepared to work on alternative schedules as required by company or project needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Drilling experience required.
  • Mobile crane experience preferred.
  • MSHA Blue Card holder preferred.
  • Experience driving manual transmission commercial trucks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Familiarity with web- and app-based Learning Management Systems preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug (including marijuana) and alcohol screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and any additional background checks required by regulation or industry practice
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and CDL (Class A or Class B).
  • Ability to work 12-hour days plus travel time to and from the rig, and to work in extreme weather conditions in geographically isolated areas.
