Career Team is looking to hire a Training Coordinator who will be responsible for providing customer-centered services designed to educate, enhance and provide workforce development training services to program participants. Work is performed under the supervision of the WIOA Program Managers.

Your Impact on Career TEAM’s Success:

  • Serve as a primary liaison with training providers to develop new and nurture existing provider partnerships that grow education and training opportunities for participants
  • Educate participants to the advantages of training and upskilling to broaden employment opportunities and enhanced career path options
  • Ensure approved and current information regarding the Eligible Training Provider’s List is available to program participants and staff
  • Maintain and disseminate approved vendor information and performance outcomes to staff and participants as appropriate
  • Facilitate group and individual assessment, eligibility and training information sessions for program participants to explore potential training opportunities
  • Participate in the assessment of participant marketability skills to determine training suitability and facilitate appropriate referral
  • Review participant training needs, industry hiring patterns and high priority occupations to assist with career exploration and the identification of aligned career pathways
  • Assist with the completion and review of individual training account packets to ensure all necessary documents are present and in compliance with training requirements
  • Provide timely reports for Career Advisors to include pipeline of potential training candidates, available training programs, and training providers
  • Consult with Career Advisors as to support services necessary to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all contacts in Work in Texas per contact requirements
  • Support off-site events
  • Track progress for individual and team targets using appropriate platforms and databases
  • Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks. Participate in all staff-related events as required including but not limited to training, staff meetings, and individual supervision
  • Approach each day with a “Zag” mindset
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-thought-out decisions
  • Must be computer literate and have MS Word and Excel skills at minimum, and the ability to learn specialized databases and software systems
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive
  • Ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them towards achieving goals
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational skills, and communication skills, both oral and written required
  • Knowledgeable about the WIOA program and other workforce program requirements
  • A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient in maintaining a high level of confidentiality
  • Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • A Valid Driver’s License

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time, Non-exempt Employee
Salary: $45,000-$55,000/yr

Travel: 40% travel within region
