Description

ONGOING EDUCATION AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT:

  • Organize regular in-service training sessions to provide continued education on evolving best practices as outlined by the priorities set by program leadership
  • Identify and address skill gaps within the staff, collaborate with Manager/ Director to source targeted training opportunities.
  • Stay current on relevant industry trends, legal requirements, and emerging issues impacting homelessness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College or university degree or diploma in child and youth work or equivalent.
  • 3 years leadership experience, or 1 year in a training leadership position
  • Experience in Non Profit and Leadership experience – supervisor, coordinator minimum
  • Experience in a shelter or residential setting.
  • Knowledge of adolescent developmental theory and specific issues related to the youth in our care.
  • First Aid, CPR and basic computer skills an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
