JOB SUMMARY:

The Journeyman Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing training programs within the DMRTI (Defense Medical Readiness Training Institute). The coordinator must have a strong knowledge of information technology and management systems, including SharePoint, website management, and various learning platforms. They will oversee course coordination and execution, manage the DMRTI website and SharePoint, and support the development of training curricula. Additionally, the coordinator will conduct research, evaluate training effectiveness, and ensure proper project staffing and documentation.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

· A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution recognized by the U.S Department of Education.
· Minimum five (5) years of relevant training experience in managing curriculum/training programs.
· Clearance Level requirement: TIER II (Non-critical sensitive position).
· Demonstrated autonomy and ability to prioritize responsibilities.
· Planning, assessment, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of training requirements and programs.
· Knowledge of military and civilian relationships, strategic leadership goals, and medical readiness.
· Familiarity with training and educational theories and principles, and the ability to apply them for needs assessment and educational research.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Knowledge of Information Technology:
  • Possess knowledge of office automation, including PC’s and software such as word processors, graphics (PowerPoint), spreadsheets (Excel), databases, internet, and email.
  • Utilize computer systems and software applications to establish databases and spreadsheets.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and other content management software to collaborate on the creation, editing, and production of digital content.

· Training Coordination Support:

  • Manage course schedules, student enrollment, and course completion reports within Joint Knowledge Online (JKO).
  • Test, troubleshoot, and review online courses based on quality feedback.
  • Collect and organize materials required for training courses and integrate them into relevant regulations and training products.
  • Ensure training materials align with published doctrine, standards, and guidance, incorporating lessons learned.
  • Support curriculum development, refinement, and updates through collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Assist with the development and evaluation of data collection instruments.
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of distributed learning products, including converting them into instructor-led training (ILT) curriculum.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of various courses within the DMRTI portfolio.

· Professional Document Writing and Evaluation:

  • Write, prepare, and review professional documents, such as letters, reports, and instructional materials.
  • Conduct research and utilize evaluation methodologies, statistical analyses, and evaluation instruments to assess training effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Predict student achievement and evaluate the relevance of training/products to the operational environment.

· Teamwork and Project Execution:

  • Establish collaborative working relationships with DMRTI staff and key members of other agencies.
  • Communicate effectively and keep project managers and teams informed about project development status.
  • Collaborate with team members (Contractor and DMRTI) on projects, technical specifications, design, and content delivery.
  • Critical Skills
  • Interpret & design documents and efficiently creates courseware pages that integrate text, still images, animation, video, and/or audio.
  • Interprets Government design documents to develop training applications for mobile devices.
  • Understands and be able to use multiple internet and intranet communication tools for documents management, information sharing, and to promote courses through DHA.
  • Write, prepare, and review professional documents such as letters, reports, and instructional documents.
  • Conduct research and use evaluation methodologies, statistical analyses, and evaluation instruments (i.e. tests and survey instruments, field feedback questionnaires, statistical measurement and software instruments) to predict effectiveness and efficiency of training implementation, student achievement, and relevance of training/products to the operational environment.
  • Ensures proper project staffing and attrition mitigation, and submission of required documents to include but not limited to Conference Approval Requests, continuing education requests, student rosters, enrollment forms, and after-action reports.
